Jim Amorin CAE, MAI, SRA, AI-GRS, CDEI, ASA
Jim is the author of the text "The Generative Shift: Preparing Appraisers for Artificial Intelligence Models Like ChatGPT". Jim began in the real estate valuation profession in 1988. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Real Estate and Urban Land Development from the University of Texas at Austin. He has testified multiple times before the US Congress and presented to the United Nations on real estate valuation, and he has served as a resource in the national press for stories in the New York Times, Housing Wire, CNBC, CNN, the Wall Street Journal, and numerous other publications. He has developed and instructed educational offerings and provided lectures in 40 states and numerous countries/territories including Italy, Germany, Portugal, the People’s Republic of China, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Romania, Japan, Mexico, and Canada. A two-time National President of the Appraisal Institute as well as its CEO between 2017 and 2023. He also served on the national Board of Directors for The Residential Energy Services Network from 2017 through 2023.



Brian Bailey, Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta 
Brian Bailey is a Subject Matter Expert in the Supervision, Regulation, & Credit Division of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He is responsible for providing thought leadership and monitoring emerging trends in commercial real estate. He guides CRE industry dynamics, valuation, operation, and finance issues. Brian has been actively involved as a lead Wholesale reviewer in the annual stress test and capital review (CCAR & HCR) conducted on the nation’s largest financial institutions. Brian has been requested to share his thoughts on commercial real estate at hundreds of venues including the Federal Reserve System, multiple U.S. Federal Agencies, many universities such as the Wharton School, industry conferences, and syndicated radio.


Brian has extensive experience, spanning both the public and private sectors, with commercial real estate valuation, transaction, development, and financial issues. Before joining the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Brian spent 15 years in various real estate industry positions. He was employed by the private equity firm Tavistock Group to oversee real estate finance and acquisitions. Before joining Tavistock, Brian was the Director of Real Estate Finance for Flagler Development Group, Florida’s largest commercial real estate developer. Brian’s experience includes working for EY (Ernst & Young), where he was an executive. Prior to joining E&Y, Brian founded and operated an industrial development company that specialized in the acquisition, development, and refurbishment of industrial properties. Before that, Brian got his start in commercial real estate as a local market appraiser. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Mercer University, Brian earned an MBA degree with concentrations in Real Estate and Finance from the University of Florida. He also attained the CCIM & CRE designations.



Mark Bradley, First Citizens Bank
Mark, Senior Vice President and Agribusiness Manager at First Citizens Bank brings 35 years of agribusiness lending experience to his role. With an Agricultural Business Management degree from NC State University and additional training from Clemson University, he has been with First Citizens for 25 years. The bank, recently named to the Fortune 500 List, is a major player in agricultural lending. Mark's career includes significant experience with Tar Heel Farm Credit before joining First Citizens. He is actively involved in North Carolina's agribusiness community, serving on several boards and supporting agricultural research. Having grown up on a farm in Edgecombe County, Mark remains a passionate advocate for farmers and NC State University.

 


 

Jackie Benson, Wells Fargo
Jackie Benson is a vice president and economist with Wells Fargo’s Corporate and Investment Bank. Based in Charlotte, N.C., she covers the U.S. macro economy, including residential housing, commercial real estate, construction, and regional economies. She regularly writes economic indicator reports and contributes to the group’s Weekly Economic & Financial Commentary.

Before joining Wells Fargo in 2022, Jackie served as a senior economist at the U.S. Senate Joint Economic Committee. Before that, she was a policy director at the American Action Forum, a policy research organization in Washington, D.C. Jackie holds an M.S. in applied economics from Johns Hopkins University. Previously, she earned a B.S. in economics and a B.A. in political science from the University of Florida.

 


 


Ryan Clutter, JLL
Ryan is a Senior Managing Director in the Carolinas office of JLL Capital Markets, Americas. He joined JLL as part of the HFF acquisition and is primarily responsible for investment sales advisory transactions throughout the Carolinas region. Ryan is a co-leader of JLL’s National Office Group, he has completed more than $8 billion in commercial real estate transactions during his career.

Ryan started at HFF in July 2014. Before that, he was an executive vice president with CBRE in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office from 2012 to 2014, and the Charlotte office for 14 years before that time from 1998 to 2012. During his time with CBRE, Ryan was recognized by the Charlotte Region Commercial Board of Realtors (CRCBR) as the No. 1 Overall Market Producer for seven consecutive years from 2005 to 2011. While in Washington D.C., he was a Top 15 Producer for the firm both years he was in the market and was a Top 200 Producer in CBRE’s Americas region for six of nine years between 2005 and 2013. While at HFF, Ryan earned this designation again in both 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019.


 

Nick Leverett, CoStar
Nick Leverett is a Director of Market Analytics for CoStar. Nick analyzes commercial real estate data and trends to provide CoStar’s view of the market and outlook for the multi-family, office, industrial, and retail sectors in markets including Raleigh and Durham. Nick is a regular speaker at key industry events and his research and analysis have been featured in numerous media outlets including the Triangle Business Journal, the Charlotte Business Journal, and CoStar News.
Before joining CoStar, Nick led the market research team at the real estate investment firm Dilweg, advising on company acquisitions and strategy in several Sun Belt markets. Nick’s research informed decisions on hundreds of millions of dollars of commercial real estate acquisitions. Nick began his career as a practicing attorney. He is based in Raleigh.

 


  

Edward Martinez, CoreLogic
Edward Martinez holds the title of Director, Industry Solutions at CoreLogic. Edward started with Marshall & Swift®️ in 1993 where he worked with the late Joe Marshall and Frank Swift. He managed the Technical Support Department, working closely with assessors and appraisers across the United States and Canada.

This led to becoming a Marshall & Swift trainer and a cost approach subject matter expert where he helped design and deliver Marshall & Swift-certified curriculums for assessors and appraisers that are AQB and IDECC approved. Edward has also authored several blogs for CoreLogic on insurance as well as the cost approach.

Today, Edward continues conducting best practice training sessions and works as an advisor to companies looking to maximize their skills and knowledge of Marshall & Swift in cost valuation. He is also a frequent speaker and presenter at IAAO conferences and has been a IDECC Certified Distance Education Instructor.

 


 

Chuck McShane, CoStar Group
Chuck McShane joined CoStar in March 2021 as the Director of Market Analytics for the Carolinas and Coastal Georgia. Prior to joining CoStar, Chuck led the economic research team at the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance and Charlotte Chamber, where he developed industry studies and supported relocation and expansion projects. His research has been featured in the Charlotte Business Journal, National Observer, and New York Times. He holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy from UNC Charlotte and is based in Charlotte.
